Downwind66
Used to fly this "bad boy" with guns mounted under the wing, but I got rid of the guns, and found that my gas mileage increased! Even picked up a little airspeed! Before: After: Very nice aircraft. A Milton Shupe beauty! Rick

NMLW
Quite a difference. It looks more sleek and probably handles a bit better too.  Larry
Downwind66
Thanks David and Larry! Yes, Larry, I like the change. I have 3 liveries for this one download. 2 are clean and 1 camouflaged with guns. It's a nice download, of course, it's was done by Milton, so that says it all! Thanks guys! kalizzi
Hi Rick, Lovely aircraft, in clean configuration it becomes something of a racer. All that parasite drag done away with, more mileage and more speed. Interesting as a Republic model the tail is identical to that of a Thunderbolt. By the way I was using your panel on my DC-4 today. Amazing. Thank you. Best wishes. Downwind66
Thanks Khalid. I've always liked the Republic XP-72! It's very stable, predictable, and forgiving! And this particular aircraft is a Milton Shupe aircraft, and he did a great job with it! Very fast also! Glad to see you back, participating with us again! jankees
Very nice, and yes, Milton makes nice models. If you want, I did a few paints for it, all imaginary of course, but based on P-47 schemes, bit of a what if the war had lasted longer things.. jk8029 Slapping paint on flightsim models you'll find all my FSX/P3D repaints here and all my MSFS repaints here. Downwind66
Jan - "Got it!" Downloaded the "23" above, and all is good, if there are more repaints, I will have to go fishing for them. This is the only one I came across so far! Thanks, Rick  Jan - I just found and downloaded this. This is especially nice, and I think that will do it for me! Thanks again!
