Boeing C-75 (Military version of the Boeing 307 Stratoliner)

Recommended Posts

I finally downloaded the repaint military version of the Boeing 307 Stratoliner, but not all that pleased with the quality of the repaint. Just under the cockpit windscreen, you see some scripting; if it was clearer, it would indicate "Commanche." Don't get me wrong, I am still content with it, as the rest of the aircraft appears to be in order!

Looked bloated due to a over pressurization problem :D Still, a pretty cool bird!

David - Bloated? What you see is what this aircraft actually is! Nobody said it would win beauty contests!

Thanks Jan! Yes, I found several on SOH, these repaints show downloads with small conservative sizes, say 20MB, and when you actually start the download it turns into 150-200MB ( figures might be exaggerated a bit, but very close to how the downloads turn out). No thanks on large repaints, this one fits my needs and yes, the name Commanche is blurred, but I can live with that! I will use my download savings for something else. Not that I am going to run out of computer space any time soon, but, I do watch what I add to the computer.

This aircraft has indeed, become one of my favorites! A 4 engine aircraft which is very stable, predictable, and just very easy to fly!

Thanks Larry! Before the Military version of the Boeing 307 (the C-75), my downloaded file consisted of 2 white aircraft, Pan Am and TWA civil version. When I added the military version, I had intentions of deleting the TWA livery, and calling it "good!" After seeing your Aigle Azur livery, I was convinced that a nice mix would be the PAA, the Aigle Azur and the military version C-75! Yes, they all have the "bloated" appearance, but they all fly so well. Even the task of taking on a 4 engine aircraft, let alone a tail-dragger at that, does not present itself as a problem, as this aircraft is so stable, predictable and very forgiving!
