Hi Woodpecker,

Found this on the MS W7 support site, may be it will sort the problem

out,

Problem

You may notice that Internet Explorer opens, flashes, and immediately

closes when you start Internet Explorer

Cause

The most common causes of Internet Explorer crashes like this are

toolbars, add-ons, or Browser Helper Objects.

Resolution

Try resetting Internet Explorer:

Close all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows.

Press the Windows key + R.

At the command prompt that comes up, type inetcpl.cpl and then hit Enter.

When Internet Options opens, select the Advanced tab.

Look for Reset Internet Explorer Settings.

Choose Reset.

When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the default settings, select Close.

It will apparently delete all your data and favourites, so best back them up

first:D, personally I ditched IE years ago and have been using Opera ever

since, a far better browser IMHO,

good luck

Comodo Ice Dragon browser, a individual's (developer?) version, that is based on FireFox, has small footprint, and works good. I also NEVER use IE, which is garbage compared. My 2 cents worth.
