fs9 updates

Hi fellow Simmers,

I just installed fs9 on a new computer...After many years I have forgotten where to get the patches and updates...I just want to know if I've got the latest version of it.. any help for this 70 year old fs9 fan will be appreciated.

Hi Steve Their is just the same FS9 Service Pack 1, needed for a lot of new addons which you can download from my DropBox as its has been deemed to old by Microsoft and therefore removed from there site.

There is also a Tweaks document on my web site, which can be copied and pasted, on how to get FS9 looking good on a modern PC well worth doing, my Natural World 2019 scenery upgrade (freeware) is loved by many dedicated simmers so worth a try, info on my web site, email me for a download link as its not on any other web sites. you also receive a link to a goody bag wit it containing some essentials for FS9.

All you have to do is put "fs9 update" (or similar) into a search engine

If you have Windows 10:

I hope that you have installed the sim into C:\ & NOT it's default install in C:\Program files.

If things don't work as expected:

 

Right-click the desktop icon & select 'Properties'

 

Select the 'Compatibility' tab, tick 'Compatibility mode,

Pull down the menu & select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

Tick 'Run this program as an administrator'

Click 'Apply' then 'OK'

Double-click (Run)

in case you would like to watch it, I made a video on how to make FS9 look realistic for free in 2019. it has all the links with it.

 

also there is this video for Active Camera. it has not been for sale for a long time but is still a very good addon.

Thanks so much! I've finally got it all transferred from my old windows 7 computer to windows 10 on my new computer. I'm getting 50-60 fps with everything maxed out on this AMD rig. Very happy but it was hard figuring out where windows10 put all the files.. but worth it. I haven't watched your video yet but the only thing I still haven't figured out is how to keep the "alt screen" up without hitting alt+enter..Thanks again and I will watch your video now.
