Hi everyone.I enjoy PMDG sim.but I have one probrem.

Prepar3D PMDG 737-800ngx does not be into Category 3 with Autoland.

I did ...

1. Set HGS (AIII arm, glide slope angle, runway length, runway elevation).

2. Set VREF to FMC (30/ 140kt).

3.Activate CMD A and CMD B.

4.Set both of COURSE degrees.

5.Set both of ILS frequency for NAV 1 and NAV 2.

6.Activate both of FDs.

7.Set MINS(RADIO,0ft).

but It will go to "SINGLE CH"only.

After this, even if the magenta diamond blinks at about 1500ft, it will not become "LAND3".

FLARE appears but ROLLOUT does not appears on PFD.

Is there something wrong?

The runway length and runway elevation may be wrong value.

Hi,mallcott.Thanks for your Reply.

Oh,I didn't check it.

I tried at Tokyo Intl.(RJTT)_34R.

It seems not to available.

I'll change to Narita Intl.(RJAA)_16R and I try again.

Thank you.

Cat III is NOT available at every airport, or every runway.

Easy: Check via the GPS.

Im sorry,I cant see mean "GPS".Is it meaning "MAP" or "Flight Planner"?

After several my tries,I succeeded "LAND3" at RJTT and runway22 today.

But I cant see why I succeeded it :(

I've got these information(22 8208 Asphalt IAD 108.100 222) &elevation 21ft.

GPS = Global Positioning System.

Included as standard with all default aircraft in P3d.

But there are included various POH - in the PMDG subfolder...

Why are you attempting to fly PMDG aircraft when seemingly you don't have the merest clue? And in P3D which is specifically NOT intended for rank amateurs? You appear to be trying too much, too soon...

I'm just beginner. I do just a tutorial. My operational understanding isn't perfect. I'm enjoying the experience by which the airplane is controlled like actuality. I flew much by manual control. So now,I'm interested in auto pilot control. I don't know too much, but I'd like to learn and go a little. The procedure I learn may not be appropriate.

Is GPS a "Garmin G1000"? I saw it at cessna172 in fsx. That operation seems also difficult.

PMDG is not really for someone who doesn't grasp the fundamentals: Suggest putting it to one side and beginning with lessons that focus on the basics first.

You cannot begin to fly something with the degree of complexity as the 737 NGX unless you understand what the differences are across the airfield and what they imply for flight. Learning by rote is no substitute for taking things one step at a time.

Yes,I know that I'm like a child moving a lever of toy.I not aiming for be a real pilot.I enjoy PMDG as a flight sim game, evenif it not for a game.

Of course I intend to gradually understand the meaning of rote procedure.

I succeeded Land3 at RJTT runway22 again!

Ill try other airports.

Thanks!

I sceeded LAND3 at Tokyo Intl.(RJTT)_34R.

I solved this problem by changing to other repainted airacraft.

It seems not operation skill but PMDG preparation problem.

There may be this problem with the initial state of the CDU.

Because,TransALT and TransLevelALT of problem aircraft are already set to 14000(Others are always 18000).

I will check the initial setting.

This sounds like a config setting in the PMDG CDU menu's. Each aircraft config is different unless you select a default auto load config. You eluded to this by saying it was solved by selecting a different aircraft livery.

This is nothing to do with your original `problem`... Transitional Altitude settings have no impact on landing.
