x plane shut down

hope this is the right forum....x plane wont shut down from the drop down menu "quit"...nesc to use "task manager" to quit...also for some reason on start up, everything seems to load ok, but it just sits there for a minute and one half [i actually timed it}..before I get sound and fps ready to go...i'm suspecting that this is all related somehow....in addition depit decent frame rates I still get a momentary freeze during flight.....running a notch below all settings, shadows off, rtx2080ti, I 9 board, 64 ram..etc..good rig.....but

if any of you out there can shed some light on whats happening here it would be more than appreciated to hear your response

hey guys...got rid of "ultra wx" and everything perfect now!...was causing freeze ups, unable to shut down x plane normally, had to use task mngr...etc...lots of problems, so now ok
