First Big Cross Country Flight On My New Computer Using Prepar3d 4.5

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just wanted to post some pictures from my flight from KRNT Renton Municipal to KDEW Deer Park Airport (Deer Park, WA).

My 6 year old son and I custom built a desktop PC and the weather in New England has been terrible for real-world flying to finish my private pilot license so I decided to continue with my around the US flights which left off in Renton, WA. I started in Plymouth, MA KPYM Plymouth Municipal where I am hopefully finishing my private pilot license this Summer in the real world. I had everything planned out on Skyvector and I was able to use my cross country planning skills to keep the flight on track.

I've got Prepar3d 4.5 running from a minimum of 17 fps in KRNT (with Seattle Airports X installed) to around 70 fps outside congested areas. It's a great machine! Mind you this is with a 3 monitor setup (hence the landscape pictures with Nvidia Surround (5760x1080 resolution). If I ran it with one monitor I would be getting 25 fps at KRNT and who knows outside of it.

Anyways...let me know what you think of the pics
