Going to be mean here but; CFS3 looked better than this, so I sure hope these are WIP vids. If so then it is a good start, if this is to be the release, then I will take a hard pass and continue on with DCS World for my WWII combat fix.

I own both, and whist I enjoy DCS greatly, its simulation of the Battle of Britain doesn't come close to WOTR offers.

Yes, graphically DCS is the the superior platform, but visuals are only one element of what makes up a believable world.

For my RAF and Luftwaffe needs, WOTR is my go to combat sim :-)

I feel that this is based off of CFS3, as is Wings over Flanders Fields, made by the same people. this is why they look so similar.

Guys, this is actually great fun. I stick to non-combat sims, and I just decided to see what WOTR is all about. So far, I've enjoyed flying with the Polish Squadron, and the Hurricane is great. I think this sim must be judged on its merits, and for its immersivness. The planes are great and the missions awesome. I'm pleased I moved out of my sim comfort zone, and discovered WOTR.

You must have a poor memory, CFS3 did not look better than this - that's a daft statement it's miles off. Even a heavily modded CFS3 maybe looked in the ballpark similar but still lacks the higher quality scenery in WOTR and many other things. Also CFS3 had no 3D shaders self shading lighting etc when released. The quality detailed OBD dynamic campaign also is totally written from the ground up and has zero to do with CFS3 campaign system.

Thanks zswobbie1, I am glad you took a chance on us. immersive single player is our focus and most people, like yourself seem to enjoy it once they get into it.
For the record it's also been extensively updated and improved too in various patches since release - including new features such as the FREE flyable Spitfire Mk.Ia aircraft.
