T-6/SNJ gauges not showing

Recommended Posts

Just reinstalled FSX on my external HD for another go. Needing an North American T-6/SNJ I installed Warwick Carter and David Eckert's FSX T-6G Texan "Civilian Restoration" with 6TEXMOD.ZIP and FSDS_T-6UPDATE.ZIP. All is well with the exception of the gauges not showing in the panel. I tried putting the cab file into the root gauges folder but to no avail.

Would anyone familiar with FSX know what I might be doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi Rick! Yep, that is the original download, which I thought worked pretty good. The update and texture update just made things a bit better.

31448....Installed the texture mods and all looks goodly! What FSX are you using? With Acceleration or with SP1 and SP2? The SPs are needed.

Also it's has a VC only...no 2D cockpit.

Well here is where I really show how much I don't know about FSX. I've been a FS2004 user since day one and thought I'd give FSX a shot again. So, I really don't know what my type is. Not the latest for sure, but the original game, if that helps.

Just two.

Then you have either FSX Standard or Deluxe. You need to install the SPS.

SP1 https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/1950/microsoft-flight-simulator-x-service-pack-1/

SP2 make sure you choose English! https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8986

Run the .exe for SP1 and let it do it's thing. Then start FSX and start a flight just to make sure everything is OK. The exit. Now run the .exe for SP2 and do the same thing.
