Thread: Burn Before Viewing

    Default Burn Before Viewing

Here are some shots of a B737-200 in the plain vanilla, discreet registration number, "no tell" livery of Janet Airlines.

Janet is a private contract airline that runs a daily shuttle service from Las Vegas airport (KLAS) carrying contract workers and military personnel to and from the Air Force Tonopah Test Range (KTNX) out in a remote section of the desert of northwest Nevada.

Tonopah is aka "Area 51" - famous for mysterious UFO sightings and testing of ultra top secret stuff. Shhhhhhhhh……

Regular TSA airport screening is a piece of cake compared to what it takes to board this airplane but no worries - we have the necessary security clearance to make this flight.

The airplane is the FlyJSim B737-200v3 for xPlane11 and the KLAS and KTNX scenery is the stock XPlane11 scenery. In the real world I think Janet has since replaced their -200 737s with later 737 versions.

After a very short 140 mile flight we're on final to the 12,000 foot runway at KTNX

The outside view on landing isn't quite as interesting as taking off in Vegas - no glitzy hotels - just miles and miles of empty sagebrush covered desert and dry salt lake beds. Perfect terrain for UFOs and alien spacecraft!

Parked at Base Ops ready to head out to our system test jobs. When deplaning don't forget to poke your head in the cockpit and thank our extra terrestrial flight crew - Captain Zorb and First Officer Baldor from the Altair 4 star system

Wonder what the pilots of Janet had the opportunity to see while there.

They're probably limited to the terminal building flight planning and filing area. The airplanes are actually registered to the Air Force but apparently flown by contract aircrews.
