    Default FS9 - Installation problem

    Trying to re-install FS9, but this is coming up.
    "Please log in as an administrator.. and try again"!
    I am the administrator.
    I am using FSX

    Install into C:\ NOT into C:\Program Files
    Install the FS2004 9.1 Update
    Install the FS2004 9.1 NOCD patch

    Right-click the desktop icon & select ‘Properties’
    1. Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab, tick ‘Compatibility mode,
    2. Pull down the menu & select ‘Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
    3. Tick ‘Run this program as an administrator’
    4. Click ‘Apply’ then ‘OK’
    5. Double-click the desktop icon (Run the sim)

    He posted in the wrong forum. He's not using FS2004.

    But you do need to install FSX in the root of C drive.

    Hello,
    I have tried all this, but failed.
    The screen opens as black.
    Forgot to inform that I nowdays using Windows 7.

    Ah.. Must admit I was a bit confused, I did see an FS9 in there.

    I am trying to install FS2004.

    FSX is running just fine.

    With Windows 7 you won't need compatibility settings, leave this unchecked.
    Make sure you have 9.1 patch and 9.1 nocd installed.
    If you get asked to run as admin you can check the admin checkbox as pointed out by zswobbie1.

    It "should" now work.

    I think he meant that FSX is running fine.

    Pretty shooty way of indicating that. You have four sentences line by line and the last indicates he's using FSX. Now we find out it's FS2004. Oh well....
