Landing without rudder not as bad as a missing elevator?

what if you just lost the the parts that articulate up and down but the main structure remains like what happened to rudder in above

 

Just to get this straight, the part that doesn't move is the "horizontal stabilizer", and the flappy bits are the elevators. Mallcott is correct in that the tailplane as a whole pushes down - in a plane with a nosewheel. In a taildragger, it lifts up. Either way, if you lose just the elevators it is possible - depending on how the airplane is rigged - that you might not plunge straight to earth. Unlikely, though.

I see so it is very unlikely to make it if both elevators are gone. I have seen some with one missing and always wondered if it still could be saved with both. thanks for help
