mallcott Posted January 18, 2019 Share Posted January 18, 2019 No. Only totally useless when faced with superior opposition, larger numbers, incorrect tactics or daylight... `1-on-1` is a blanket statement, what was the opposition? A dumb catch-all statement if I may say so! When used as a night fighter its range, weapon-carrying and equipment made it a fearful opponent. Yes, it served long beyond when it should have been replaced, but that was indication of just how bad the Me 210 and, to a certain extent the Me 410, was.
