Thread: IAI Phalcon 707

  1. Default IAI Phalcon 707

Not sure if this aircraft really exists or photoshopped. If you google it there are images of it, strange looking.
I don't see any files for it here.

Phalcon was the name for an Elint suite developed by Israel some 25 years ago. All references I can locate say that the aircraft Israel used were 707s, the Phalcon system was retired by Israel in favour of an improved system. One 707 was converted for Chile, supposedly still flying.

The aircraft look similar to those developed by the USA for a similar role.

For a flyable model, albeit based on a USAF version and not fully representative of the Israel/Chile version, head over to the Historic Jetliners Group website (HERE).

Click on the Downloads option in the left hand menu and it will produce a list of all of the aircraft that HJG do. Click on the EC-135 link under the Boeing listing.

Note that HJG models are not simple 'add and fly' models. They consists of separate parts that need to be downloaded from various parts of the website and then 'built'. The models have detailed instructions on how to do this

    Each model comprises a:

Individual Base Model files - downloaded from the individual model type link.

Individual repaints files - also downloaded from the individual model type link.

Panel and Core files - downloaded from the appropriate aircraft type link located at the bottom of the main listing. Note that there are multiple panels available that cover various versions/timeframes so you will need to select the most appropriate one for the Base model used.

Sound files - downloaded from the appropriate aircraft type link located at the bottom of the page under the main listing. Note, again as with the Panels, there are multiple sounds available that cover various versions/timeframes so you will need to select the most appropriate one for the Base model used.

Effects files - downloaded from the appropriate link located at the bottom of the page under the main listing.

"THANK YOU" .... for that reference "LONGBREAK754/Brian" .... appreciated

To further elaborate on hat's been hilited above .... in regard to HJG B707 panel and sounds assignments for its military C-135 SERIES (and civil B707/720) simulations refer to the followig linked recommendatiions.

    PLEASE NOTE ....

The HJG supplied B707/720 and C-135 SERIES aircraft base packs, models, FDE, and effects "ARE" FSX portable .... with no known or adverse issues.

The HJG supplied B707/720 and C-135 SERIES panels/gauges "ARE" FSX portable .... with no known or adverse issues.

The HJG supplied B707/720 and C-135 SERIES sound packs "ARE" FS29004 compatible only .... these will function in FSX, but, not with the audio quality and fidelity HJG prefers. HJG's"NEW" DC-8 soundpacks are represebntative of the same engine types that power/ed both B707/720 and C-135 aircraft types .... and "ARE" fully FSX compapatioble (separate FS2004 and FSX version DC-8 sounpacks are provided by HJG) .... but .... these DC-8 sounpacks "HAVE NOT" been customized for HJG's B707/720 and C-135 FDE's and for this reason (and reason of other technical/audio fidelities too) should not be used as a substitute.

Other than the above brief explanations .... support for these simulations is provided "on the HJG forum only"

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for the links and additional info - I had totally forgotten about these useful pages since I installed most of the mil B707 models into FSX several years ago - I stored all of the HJG models/panels in a separate folder within the main SimObjects folder that's dated 06/02/16...….

    Happy Flyin'

One of these days I'll eventually (I'd like to at least) incorporate all of that information into a forum based/online "B367-80/B707/720/C-135" manual .... akin to those I've already published for our ARJ/BAe, DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, and L-1011 simulations among others.
