FSX to P3D Migration Tool

FS Pilot Shop is advertising an FSX to P3D Migration Tool, which claims it is compatible with P3Dv4. Does anybody have experience with this program and P3Dv4 and - if so - what do you think?

Don't do it.

It doesn't work if you have p3d4.3 and try to port something over that isn't designed for it. One cannot `make` a 32-bit software 64-bit compatible with any kind of generic tool.

For p3d4.x only use p3d4.x-compatible software.

P3D Migration Tool isn't...

Stay as far away from it as you can. Sometimes it works but when it doesn't you are looking at a reinstall including the OS. It's not a question of IF it will mess up your system but when.

And before the many users who tried it and had no issues chime in, sooner or later, it will bite you.

I have had this tool since it was first released. It has always worked great and no issues. As suggested though be careful what you install in to P3DV4. Some developers have said their software is compatible with P3DV4 but just did not create new installers. You an use it just fine for those. I have also used it to put in Sunskyjet scenery's and some others with no problems. Be aware that this tool is no longer being updated and I don't know if they will continue to update it when newer version of Prepar3d come out. Use at your own risk.

Thanks all - I will heed your advice. I was curious if maybe the program had been recently updated for P3DV4, but will only be looking for respectable reports to that effect.
