Thread: Re-locating Airports.

  1. Default Re-locating Airports.

    Hello,
I see many fine small airports designed to be added to FS9.
Is it possible to take these airports and relocate them in another area.
I have an open area I would like to "drop" in a pre-made small airport.
Is there a file in these airport designs that determine where FS locates the airport.
    Thank you

    No, there isn't.

You would have to open the airport in ADE, change the ICAO code to something not used in FS (so the original airport in FS will stay where it is), and then (if you have ProKey) move the airport using the Tools/Move Airport menu item. If you don't own ProKey you would need to select the entire airport and drag all of it to the new location (almost impossible if very far away).

    Hope this helps,
    Tom Gibson
