BigT-65
The crater is already in my FSX, but I have a lot of ORBX scenery and it may be part of that. Anyway I found it by flying back and forth over the area where I knew it to be near Flagstaff, AZ. It wasn't easy to find. If you get the coordinates you can go right to it. i7 8700K CPU @ 4.8 GHz, 32 GB DDR4 3000 memory, Gigabyte Aorus Z370 MB, EVGA RTX 2060 Super XC GPU 8GB GDDR6 Memory, MasterAir MA610P CPU cooler, 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD, 500 GB SSD, 2T HDD, 3 Asus 24" monitors, Saitek X56 Rhino HOTAS.[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
f16jockey_2
Follow the link I gave, then click the little map: that’s a link to SkyVector. Read the map: take off KINW Rwy 29 to INW VOR. Then outbound INW something 245°-ish. Can’t miss it. Wim

Flattermann
In FSX the location of the Crater is N 35° 1.64 W 11° 1.18 But it isn't so impressive as the pictures from jethrom (#8) happy landings! f16jockey_2
But it isn't so impressive as the pictures from jethrom (#8) My calculated guess is that, like me, he’s using ORBX openLC NA. Wim Verzonden vanaf mijn iPad met Tapatalk

jethrom
Well thankyou for your kind comments flattermann (Christian), and f16jockey_2 (Wim). I do actually use Orbx FTXGlobalBase textures, but no OLC_NA. In FSX its just default for the area DX9 default mode, I did however bump the Mesh Resolution to 1m (but usually leave it set on 5m). I use a few Graphic enhancements with Extremely high scenery & Autogen settings. CessnaFlyer
yes nice screen shots. I thought it would be more impressive as well. but it is just a simulation after and not the real thing. giving up on flight simulation for good:D
