RSS feed has been around for a lot of years, and I've been using it for a long time. Basically, if the web site has an RSS feed, then they have a way for you to make a sort of bookmark for it, then when you access it as a bookmark you see an up to date list of the latest article titles (at least on most news sites and forums). Mighty handy to not go to a website until there's something of interest, then clicking on the "live bookmark" takes you right to that article. Tom's Hardware and ARS Technica are two (of several) web sites that I monitor with an RSS feed. An example would be at Slashdot where right under the green bar with the SLASHDOT name, there is a small link labeled: "Follow Slashdot blog updates by subscribing to our blog RSS feed " with part of it clickable. This will let you follow new articles in their blog without actually having to go to their site until you see one of interest to you. Larry N.
