I don't have ANY version of Prepar3d yet. Gonna wait for v5.

But curious if there are ANY new [sections] in the Prepar3D Aircraft.cfg's that are NOT in a FSX Aircraft.cfg.

This is FSX's Aircraft.cfg...

Your list for FSX aircraft.cfg looks identical to what is shown at prepar3d.com; so I guess the answer to your question is that there are no new sections.

Wrong.

Just check the generally available SDK notes on P3D to see how it has been a movable feast. Remember, the cfg file is a modifier for what is in the .air file, a standalone reference, and a tweak for what is the system files.

It is NOT the same as FSX, even if it does share many common elements.

This is a useless exercise guys. They are two different, but similar products. Forget the fsx.cfg file - there is nothing in there that will be useful to you in P3D. New sections have been added, old sections have been changed and, most importantly, the parameters for the existing entries have been greatly modified under the hood.

Other than just being curious there is no point to this discussion - question - is fsx.cfg same as p3d,cfg? answer - no.

end of story - let's move on.
