4K Curved 45-55" TV and Track IR

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of swapping out my 27" LG monitor for a 45-55" 4K curved TV. A few questions: first, how is the video quality of a 4K when compared to a monitor? What settings need to be adjusted in windows 7 (64bit) and FSX to run a 4K? I currently sit about 30" away from the 27" LG monitor, but instrument panel in full screen is probably half scale (.5 instrument size), what would the sitting distance be for a 1:1 with a 55"? Lastly, I have my TrackIR pod on top of the LG 27" and it works great, where do you put the pod (thing with the feet) when you have a large TV?

Finally, any recommendations on the best ($1500 or less) TV?

Thanks in advance

As far as TrackIR, a TV setup is about as thin as a computer monitor so I don't foresee any issues.

Personally, if I had $1500 to spend on a TV, and if I had a dark enough room, I'd get a projector. But with those you may suffer from the same issues outlined in the above two articles.
