It's my beautiful turbo powered Beaver ; which fly's as good as it looks. I think you can learn a lot by taxiing and landing a tail dragger correctly. IMO, tricycle gear trainers don't make nearly as many demands on stick and rudder flying or teach as many basic control skills as a tail dragger does.
