Thread: Virtavia F-22 NDB

  1. Question Virtavia F-22 NDB

    For some reason when I type in a NDB frequency it doesn't work. Does anyone else have this issue or a fix?

    Define "it doesn't work'.

    Doesn't work:

    Entering a NDB frequency doesn't work. When the frequency is entered neither do I hear Nav audio or see the indicator on the HSI move or indicate.

    First thing to check is the presence of an ADF entry in the [radios] section of aircraft.cfg

    Should look something like:

    Code:
    [radios]
    ...
    adf.1 = 1

    I do have that ADF entry. I think perhaps it's the AP since I had a user at Avsim edit it. I'll have to look.

    It was indeed adf.1=1.

    Before it was adf.1=1,1.

    That entry would have been correct if the ADF tuning radio has a standby frequency.
    Rare, but I’ve seen ADF gauges which have.

    I’ve also seen panels where the VC gauge needed the standby, and the 2D panel gauge didn’t. Or vice versa. Impossible to make those panels work.

    Good you got it working. On a side note: I wonder if the real Raptor has an ADF receiver?
