flashretro
Hello, I am new here. I use a Chromebook for surfing the Internet. I do not have any Windows PC's that are online, nor will I. Can a Chromebook be used to download files for FS2004 or not. Thank you.
zswobbie1
Why not try it? Then copy the files across to your 'normal' PC. It will probably be quicker to try it yourself tha to post a question and wait for an answer. Robin Cape Town, South Africa
CXA001
It is most likely possible to download via your Chromebook and then transfer the file over to your PC via your internal network, although it will be much easier to download files directly from your Windows PC. napamule2
All you have to do is to hook them up using a USB cable and the PC will see the Chromebook as a 'storage device' and you can transfer files just like you transfer files from one HDrive to another HDrive. Too easy. napamule2
You can transfer '*.txt', '*.mp3', 'mp4', '*.jpg', '*.bmp' files back and forth. You can't run Android programs on PC and vice versa, but files you can work with. Your download will be '*.zip' but you can transfer those too. A trick is to change name to '*.zip.txt' and then rename back to '*.zip' when you have it on your PC. Cheers. Daniel.T
I download and "scan" files very often with a tab and, using a USB key, feed the PC. Works great. i7-4790K @4400 on Gigabyte Z97X (16gb), GeForce GTX 970 OC, Corsair Spec case Win7 Ult(64) on Samsung850 SSD(256), FSX+Accell on Samsung850 SSD(256), Track IR5 Saitek yoke/rudder radio/multi/switch panels, Logitech G13, GMap on Samsung tab

Chuck B Napamule There are some great Android emulators that run on a PC, but a Chromebook is not Android, it uses Chrome OS, with most of it's apps in the cloud. TheAwesomeCobra
Hello, I am new here. I use a Chromebook for surfing the Internet. I do not have any Windows PC's that are online, nor will I. Can a Chromebook be used to download files for FS2004 or not. Thank you. For downloading only, sure! But I don't think you could install/run FS2004 on a Chromebook (it's not a compatible OS). Hope this helps, -Cobra
