Trans-Texas Virtual Airways

Trans-Texas Virtual Airways is a major virtual airline operating on GeoFS, P3D,FSX, and the latest X-Plane Installments. It operates its headquarters out of Fort Worth, Texas. TTA Virtual was created on November 29, 2017, and began operations on Dec. 1, conducting its first flight on Dec. 2, 2017.

Trans-Texas is a new member of TwinJet Alliance, a virtual airline alliance for airlines using GeoFS as their primary operating flight simulator. Together, the alliance comprises of 13 virtual airlines and has hundreds of members. Trans-Texas partners with all these airlines, and offers seperate codeshares with Phoenix Air and Southern Airways.

TTA Virtual uses Dallas-Fort Worth International as its primary hub, operating to more than 25 destinations using its fleet of Boeing and Bombardier aircraft. TTA opened up its second hub, Houston Intercontinental, on January 3, 2018. Houston serves as a primary gateway to the Caribbean and Mexico, as well as many domestic routes. All of TTA's maintenance facilities are located on the grounds at DFW International Airport. The airline has around 60 employed pilots, and is a major virtual airline that also flies in GeoFS.

History

Trans-Texas Virtual was created by Jacob Merkle on November 29, 2017. Its Co-Founder, Jhames Palafox, joined a day later, and has become the vice president. The airline was not released to the public until December 1, 2017, and it operated its first commercial flight from DFW International to Houston Intercontinental later on December 2, 2017.

The airline joined OneWorld Virtual Alliance on Dec. 1, and gained members quickly as part of the alliance. TTA launched many new routes during this time, including flights to Iceland and Bermuda. These 2 routes launched on Dec. 26. TTA took deliveries of 2 767-300ER's, to supplement the flights to Iceland and Bermuda. On Dec. 15, TTA left OneWorld due to issues with some owners. The airline joined Star Alliance the next day, and the alliance collapsed in a few quick days. TTA eventually applied for TwinJet alliance, but got rejected. On December 27, the owner announced a new hub for TTA, which would be Houston Intercontinental. The hub was launched days later, and has been the gateway for routes into Mexico and the Caribbean. The airline then went back to OneWorld, and once TTA hit 50 members, it re-applied for TwinJet Alliance. This time, the airline was accepted, and joined the alliance on January 5, 2018. The airline has since stayed with TwinJet Alliance, and is one of the newest members in the alliance.

TTA started up their social media accounts in early January. The airline currently has a Facebook page, Twitter, and a YouTube channel. TTA's social media is managed by Jhames Palafox, except for Twitter, which is managed by Jacob Merkle. TTA received its first 2 737 MAX 8 aircraft in late December, and has them in place on the KMIA and KLAX routes.
