When I try to post a question on the Steam site iget the following: "You need to verify your e mail address". When I ask How I'm told rt click on the Steam icon in the system tray. I love English. What - Where is "system Tray"? The only icon i see is on upper left of the page . When I rt click on it I do not get any "settings" options.

Do you think I'm new at this?

My original query is where are the airplanes that come up on startup? I would like to add an airplane.

They should be in a folder in your FSX called Simobjects.

Finding FSX Steam's Aircraft on Your Computer

For each installation method, you need to know where to put your new aircraft files. FSX Steam’s aircraft files are kept in a dedicated folder within the FSX Steam program files. FSX Steam usually installs to the same place on most computers because of how Windows works. That is the Program Files (x86) folder. FSX: Steam Edition will be there unless you chose a different location when you installed it.

Open your Windows Explorer file manager.

Double click on the following folders, one after another, in this order:

C:

Program Files (x86)

Steam

steamapps

common

FSX

SimObjects

Airplanes (or Rotorcraft)

The path shown in the top line of your Windows Explorer is your destination to FSX Steam. It results from the folders you double clicked. Use the Airplanes folder to add airplanes and the Rotorcraft folder to add helicopters.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

1 google: system tray.

2 find the flightsim.com file library-advanced search (top of page) and download an addon aircraft. Unpack the .zip file it is in, and read file:

readme.txt

to see the install instructions.

Or 2 just google the aircraft you want, download it, and read the readme.txt

A lot faster then waiting for answers from here.

Where is "system Tray"?

In a standard Windows setup it is on the right end of your Taskbar, usually next to the clock.

This should be how you ask a question on steam. Are you verified?
