peer01
Spectacular! I can even fly 10 ft below the runway. For a short time that is. With expensive noises. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Rupert
Nice shots Aharon! Having said that, most if not all of us fly ten feet above the runway on every runway takeoff and most landings. BTW: I've missed seeing your always enjoyable posts lately. Are you in mourning because Spring is approaching in your part of the world? Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow. Rupert
Friend to the ground effect?! Cheers Well yes! When you're taking off overloaded, ground effect comes in very handy! ;) Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
flightsimg
Hi! Adding to the ground effect question, those views of strange Soviet and Iranian 'ekranoplans,' or planes working with the ground effect (one may find the first one like a freeware for FSX). I think one of those should be perfect either for Aharon, or for Jan    Cheers Gérard Guichard, Dijon, Burgundy, France. i5 Intel processor, 4 Go of Ram, Nvidia GeForce 920MX, DirectX 12.0, and FSX Gold Edition with SP1, SP2. liner simpilot
Miss seeing your postings Aharon. It has always been a peasure seeing your postings. When I grow up one day, hope mine will look like yours. Practice makes you better they say. As for some of the postings, I have to agree with them that at some point you are either at 10 ft above ground landing or T/O. Kenny
mikeandpatty
In theory, ground effect reduces angle of attack in some relative proportion, up to a maximum of one wingspan above the surface. The actual effect is related to airfoil shape and span to chord, etc.
