I'm using a Logitech Force 3D Pro that's probably 10 years old and don't like it. It's to sensitive and really makes controlling an aircraft hard. I am not sure if the Force is similar / the same as Extreme but the Extreme works fine if you set the Null zone properly, which unfortunately you will have to do it by moving / creating small circles, when the XPlane calibration asks you keep the stick centered, since there is No Null zone adjustment available. I've tried many and they all seem / are very sensitive in XP11, you may also want to play with the Linearity in the Calibration.
