Spot View issues

I'm returning to FSX after a lay off but I seem to be having a problem with the Spot and Locked Spot Views. They work if I access them from the drop down menu but when I assign a key nothing happens. I'm using the Steam addition and I have a registered version of FSUIPC.

can't imagine what might have happened but since F-key assignment to the spot view is set by default, perhaps if you just click the "restore default" button in the assignments window the normal function might be reset.

You can use the 'A' key and the 'S' key to change views. If nothing works (F keys, etc) one combo that ALWAYS works, no matter what, is 'Shift+S'.

I think I may have got to the bottom of this and other symptoms I've been experiencing. The lights on my Multi-Switch panel were not illuminating either. I believe it's to do with the Power Save settings on the USB ports. I've altered them and all appears fine now. I suspect it's Windows 10 upgrades that may have caused the problem in the first instance. Thanks all for your help.
