DKPilot
I recently purchase the Flight1 King Air B200. FSX works fine with all other aircraft but when I load the B200 a window pops up that says: Network Communication Error Simconnect is blocked. Has anyone experienced this error? Do you have any suggestions on how I can correct it or what may be causing it. I don't seem to get any help on the Flight1 support forums. Thank you. mallcott
`Blocked` means your anti-virus is a pile of steaming do-do and needs upgrading - or has identified a virus attached to Simconnect. But of course we don't know anything about your system, so cannot possibly offer any further clues or advice.
DKPilot
My anti-virus is Windows Defender and I'm also running a freeware version of Malwarebytes. For the rest, Win 10, latest update. Thanks.
mallcott
Simconnect is a core Windows file and should not be blocked. Unblock it.
DKPilot
Well, I can try and do that but it's odd that even with the anti-virus shutdown it still produces the error. Also, this is the only plane out of both the freeware and payware on my system that produces the error.
mallcott
Yes, it is. Which is why we asked for other details about your system. You are aware there are four possible versions of SimConnect on your system? You can get the version numbers from Apps and Features
DKPilot
No, I was not aware of that. I really haven't had to do anything with Simconnect until now. I wasn't really aware of it until I installed Spad.next. Yes, I've tried it with Spad.next on and off with the same results. I'll look for the version of Simconnect. All are contained within the Redist sub folder of FSX.
DKPilot
The solution was to overwrite a couple of files in the Gauges folder. Who'da thunk?
Flybynight4
DKpilot, can you expand a little on your solution. I have the same problem and am anxious to fly this thing. Thanks
