I have no idea what my first screen shot is or where to find it but this video nicely recreates the experience.

You'll want your speakers turned up, the audio is so realistic... -- Bob

Found a hard copy from possibly FS2002. Obviously Photoshopped.

No. Not a sole one. But my first flight simulators were combat ones, and my first certain screenshots, I think, date back to Combat Flight Simulator (CFS1) about the year 2000, and when I had a site about the Campagne de France in May 40 with CFS1, and posted also freewares about! All that vanished in the sands of the net history. Maybe some with freewares re-posted or at some Internet archives :)

Well, I personally keep faithful to FSX. I should even be pleased if Microsoft would some day put again a team to a FS11 with all the improvements brought by the community! Dreaming allowed :):):)

You might want to try Flight Sim World. It's pretty much what you described. Check out my screen shots and comments in the FSW forum. -- Bob

By the Way. I think I may have found a capture of my first flight simulator.

I think it still runs, but I'm not compatible any more. :( -- Bob

"You might want to try Flight Sim World" Hey! Are you teasing people off FSX! That's really my choice to adhere to FSX. And a well matured choice! Keep away tempter! :):):)

Not a question of divisiveness -- about which I agree with you about the today's world -- But a question of keeping with FSX I find more in line with my accumulated experience since FS98. I personally advocate that Microsoft should reunite a team to pass to a next gen FS. Personal and unwavering view :):):)

been simming since I had my first MSFS on 1 3 1/2' floppy though can't remember which early version that was, maybe FS5 don't know.

After that FS98 , FS2000 , FS2002 and kinda hang on to FS2004/9 now , cause my system can't run FSX . Though I have FSX Gold installed.

Is there anybody who knows how to change these unrealistic FSX solid prop discs into a normal FS2004 representation of a turning propellor.

Have no space for a joystick nor throttle quad. on my desk , so can only fly with keyboard.

In your opinion and maybe experience which of the following products is best suited for keyboard only operation, FSX , P3D , X-Plane or FSW ?

Here are some screenshots from my FS98 and FS2000 setup , still remember : Apollo Flightshop , Wilcopub Airport series, Real airports , LAGO etc etc

Hi! A basic joystick really seems necessarily whatever the sim you fly. That's not that expensive in fact, about some 40 dollars at maximum

thanks so much to all our fsimfriends for these kind and helpfull replies.

_ I have Justflight Flying club X (C152,Warrior,Seneca,Tomahawk) installed in FS9 and FSX .

In FS9 it is just perfect with the best simulation of a fast or slow turning propellor I have on my system, just 100% real.

In FSX is where the same aircraft show dark brown and pretty dense turning propellors , default FSX planes on my system show good

propellors but not as realistic !! as my FS9 propplanes.

I remember reading somewhere many years ago that it could be possible to copy the propellor bitmaps from FS9 to FSX, but i've tried

and have been unable to to do this don't know exactly how to do this.

thanks somuch for all your help and happy flying

(have to change my profile somewhere I'am not really a junior member my age 65 yrs maybe not yet a senior member)
