panel istalling

Hi guys,

All the best for 2018.

What is wrong with TDS freeware aircraft panels????

After downloading the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner RR and installing, I can’t see a VC panel and have no instruments in the 2D panel.

I have checked the “panel.cfg” and the VC is there, also in the “texture” file the VC is represented.

I’m not using a different panel just the default and have transferred the .fx files into the FSX folder.

I would appreciate any help, as you can tell I’m not versed in the installation process.

Cheers.

Hello Mrzippy,

It’s an old download from back in mid 2016 I’m not too sure of the exact file wording but I have it under [TDS british_aiways_firebolt_788]. However, it’s the standard 777 VC panel .cfg setup used in this model, if that helps you any.

This is the panel .cfg for the VC only, not sure if this helps you but I think you will see it's the normal TDS stuff.

fcq1.gif FS2004/FSX British Airways Firebolt Boeing 787-8. Fictional repaint for the TDS B787 (model included) of the British Airways firebolt livery (featured on the Boeing 777-200) previously uploaded. These textures feature shine, dirt, shadow and higher quality textures for your high flying pleasure! Painted by Megan G. Kelly of Angel designs.

If this was the download, then it is not a good one! No gauges included and no VC because it is not a native FSX aircraft.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Hi Mr Zippy,

Yeah it’s a similar model, I’m afraid I fall for the three card trick regularly. Though the file is tagged with the “full model” tick I assume it’s the one and only (original).

Sorry to have taken up your time on this one, however, I’ve been looking for a “full working model” with all the trimmings. So, may I ask you, “Can you suggest a BA (British Airways) model that includes the VC and all”. I just love this aircraft but can’t find a full model.

I have also installed the “CAMSIM” models and have the same problems, no VC. Of course it may be something I’m doing wrong that’s why I asked for your help.

Hope you enjoyed your turkey and have a great 2018.

Sorry, I can't recommend any of the TDS 787s. If someone jury-rigged one with a VC, they used either the default 737 cockpit or the A321 and they are crap also. You might have to splurge on a payware model.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Ok my friend,

Thank you so much for your time I appreciate it so much.

Yeah I’ve looked at the pay ware downloads (as they are today) and have a feeling they are the same.

I purchased an A380 and that was “crap”, seems were losing good programmers I don’t think they can lay their hands on any good “blue prints”.

Oh well, onward and upwards and who knows.

Cheers my friend

Hi Edwardo,

Do an ADVANCED search of the flightsim library as follows......

Select the Advanced Search option form the dropdown menu

Use the dropdown menu located to the right of the Search only file section: field and change the entry to FSX: FSX Panels.

Enter the phrase 787 into the this exact wording or phrase: field and hit the Start Search button.

It throws up a number of panels included some designed for the TDS model.

Follow any install instructions carefully and/or post back into this thread with any problems

Regards

Brian
