okdaley Posted October 24, 2017 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Knowing full well that a supersonic jet has a ceiling at 60,000, I wondered what would happen if it is placed at 250,000+ feet above Earth in flight simulation via Microsoft FSX. Using a custom (over built) built XB70 prototype bomber which is normally stable at 60.000 feet, in this video , it drops 200,000+ feet in free fall to near 50,000 feet altitude where the engines can be started and a chance for recovery !
