Realism Settings

Just curious as to what everyone's favorite Realism Settings are as in the General, P-factor, Torque,Gyro and Crash tolerance slider positions. For years I have had them at easy except for the Crash tolerance set a little higher.

Full right on everything almost always. Unless I'm flying the piper cub, then torque and p factor go down so you can control it on takeoff ...

 

Always flown this way unless a payware plane gives me other settings to use.

Full Right to Realistic, although for FSX I have P factor at 50%. But because I do more development flying during model making I have unlimited fuel & crash off. FS9 all at realistic - can't remember why! Crash off & unlimited fuel. None of my models incorporate an autopilot, so the joystick gets busy at times!

Full right realistic is not at all realistic.

That setting will cause a constant left turn in all the aircraft in my hangar.

Speed of the left turn varies from every few seconds to every 10 - 20 seconds or so

 

In the RW straight and level MEANS what it says.

 

Every RW aircraft I've flown, all without aileron trim, it was a very simple matter to set up STRAIGHT ahead flight

 

Relative wind may deviate the course, as nav instruments will show.

 

But heading stays straight ahead

You will find in FS9 or FSX that the p factor can be too strong & also that fuel burn from one side is also too effective. Likewise offset passengers can have a similar effect, which is why I cheat & put fuel on the centreline & passengers also & reduce factor P!
