Target Is "HOT"

"Range Control, Canoe Three-Six, roger, commencing."

Before she was my wife, my girl-friend worked the Range in Yuma, and I'd stop in to wait for her and listen in.

They had camera's at 90° to one another to score the hits, and the best thing I ever saw was a very good Phantom driver nearly hit the bus they had parked in the center if Rakish Litter for a good radar target. All of a sudden, there were people exploding out every door and window of that bus! Scared a bunch of illegals half to death with the near miss, who had stopped in the bus overnight. Even though all the Mk 76's had for explosives was a 12 Ga blank shell in the nose, to make a puff of dust come up for scoring purposes, it was enough. I must admit, when my GF scored the impact, it was a very near miss. Needless to say, my GF had to call "Knock it off!" and notify the Border Patrol...
