Iris F-15 Strike eagle Autothrottle Issues

Hello all,

Just downloaded the IRIS F-15 eagle (Found here:https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=F-15&x=0&y=0)

It works amazingly cause they added a working autopilot. The altitude climb and cruise work perfectly. The only issue is the autothrottle. I set it to something and arm it and set it to IAS as any autothrottle. It starts moving, but slides back to idle. I try and move the throttle with the autothrottle engaged and as expected it doesnt budge. Try and change autothrottle speeds, and still nothing. I reloaded the flight, and the same thing happens. Anyone else have this issue or know whats going on? Looking in CFg and nothing gives...

Thanks alot.

Even before the F-15E became free (2010) it had a throttle problem. This download clearly states that he used the original cfg. They had problem with it getting stuck at full throttle when first loaded. That was caused by a bad gauge (gauge02=F15_Gauges!Afterburner FDC, 1,1,20,20). Commenting it out fixed full throttle issue. In attempt to fix autopilot autothrottle issue the recommended changing all '=1' in autopilot autothrottle lines to '=0' - HA! I am downloading it now and will test autothrottle tomorrow. Bedtime now.

Edit: Someone said substituting the panel from a F-15C made the F-15E work good. Now I am looking for a F-15C. It never ends!

Edit: Found one! https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/23807/fsx-iris-f-15-c-d-j-update/ (update/upgrade, panel, autopilot, by Bob Chicilo, 55.39 Mb).

does that gauge just turn on a few afterburner effects (visual effect)? (Possibly at the same time as the one at which the arcraft.cfg/.air file switches on the thrust-boost effect.)

Or does it do completely different thing(s) instead (FDC possibly meaning FADEC or something). An is it just called afterburner FDC, because all the cusom gauges are in that same container?

If just effects I might put it on the long term to-do list. Otherwise no thanks.:D

Don't know what that gauge does. But Bob Chicilo also commented it out in the F-15C panel and he knows what he is doing, so..... maybe the gauge is just bad and can't be fixed?

Ok downloaded a different version of the aircraft and now I got a good working airspeed, but the altitude hold is a bit off. I found out that if I constantly spam the B key (reset altimeter to nearest airport setting), it resets for a quick second before I have to press B again to keep it in check. None of my other aircraft do this. Any quick fix?
Thanks alot.
