You have not shown the maintenance hangar, walk around or indeed most of the superb features of this aircraft which puts it in a different category than ordinary flightsim aircraft.

See page 4 for the walk around!

Excellent review Ray, enjoyed the read immensely (must have taken you some time).

Excellent review Ray. I have their Cessna's, 172 & 182, and the Piper J3 Cub. I have a PPL and have flown in both the 172 and 182. Flight characteristics appear to be spot on and I get many hours of simulation time and enjoyment from all three. Hope to add more of their aircraft in time. Their support forum is awesome too. There is a ton of information and the staff and other members never hesitate to help you out with any questions or problems. They're a classy group.

    Hi cddr,
I am always open for positive criticism but I am not sure I agree or understand why you write that the maintenance hangar or the pre-flight inspection is not included. In this online review there is on page 4 a picture from the maintenance hangar and on page 5 you have a picture from one of the points on the pre-flight inspection.
Also I start out the Flights Dynamics section with an introduction to both the pre-flight inspection and the maintenance hangar which in my opinion is superb.

I don't know what other features you are missing in the review, but I have included a lot of details about the add-on as e.g. the needles in the gauges that are affected when e.g. taxiing etc... awesome detail which is also mentioned in the review.

When I did this test and review I also published a photo album on my public Facebook page named Rays Aviation - you are very welcome to visit, and here you will find even more pictures - also from the pre-flight inspection.

    Hi W33,

Thanks - and yes this review took a looong time to finish, but that was simply because the add-on was so interesting that I probably flew 3 times the test flights that I normally do :-). Absolutely an add-on worth recommending.

Nice detailed review of this great addon. I was a bit puzzled about the the reviewer's comment that flap rate was right. In the real aircraft the flap operation is manual and so the rate will be as fast or slow as you pull the lever. Still that's a minor detail.

This addon has so much atmosphere. It remains my favourite of all the A2A GA aircraft.

Excellent review! I think you are correct whenever you mentioned some assumptions based on flight characteristics from your experiences with other aircraft..... I say that because my dad owned a Piper Archer II. I spent many hours in that plane and even while he took his lessons! (Technically not allowed and I'm sure that wouldn't happen today!) It was a joy to relive my memories as I read your review....from the aircraft shake at start up to the shaking on the stall! Very cool and great pics!

    Hello Flightman,

Thanks for your feedback! - in regards to the flap operation, then you're right, the flaps are connected to the lever without an engine for the movement so the rate can vary. - my mistake! sorry.
