Panel config. Trying to get "callouts" to work.

I have been using the default B737-800 from FSXA with P3DV4. Everything works fine with the exception I can't get the landing callouts to work. I installed a callout file I downloaded from this site for the past 7 years in FSX with no problems. I have installed all the files from that download into P3DV4 and made the adjustments to the panel cfg. but I still can't get it give me my landing callouts. I have attached my panel cfg. if that helps. I guess I can't attach the cfg so I hope this part will help.

Thanks.

Bob G.

It's just possible that they do not work in a 64bit environment?

Yea, I don't think the .dll works in 64 but. They probably should be a xml. file.

I downloaded the file that I think would work and installed into the P3DV4 sound file, but still no callout. I really miss that on landings.

You will have to rename the sound file so it can found. For example my RealAir duke had no switch sounds. I downloaded the new 64bit file and named it to match the file that no longer worked. Sorry, this is the best help I can give you as I don't know what you should rename the file but this should at least get you started in the right direction. :)

Thanks for that reply. Not sure which file has to be renamed. Are you referring to the original sound.dll file that came with the Callouts app? Or this file that I downloaded and put in the P3DV4 sound folder. dsd.p3d_xml_sound_x64.dll.

The 32bit original was called dsd_xml_sound3.dll (you can see it in your panel.cfg, gauge 52) and that is the one that you have to replace. But it is a very old version I think, and it may not work the same way any more. You would have to ask the author.

But. If the callouts app uses its own dlls too (you mention sound.dll) then you can stop trying. 32bit DLLs can not work in P3D V4.
