ILS Approach Boeing 777-200 Sim

Recommended Posts

Having a little fun in the 777 cargo sim. Instructor threw in 23 knots of crosswind but it died down to just 21 knots on the ILS and landing. Not too bad for someone who spends most of his time in a C208 and C182:

Alright, here's the initial takeoff RWY 27 out of MEM:

And, while flying the downwind RWY 27, the instructor injects traffic same altitude, opposite direction:

I work for the company and one of my colleagues was able to get this set up. This is the second time I've been able to fly the 777 sim...the first time was 4 years ago.

Not bad! Who was the funky chicken in the pilot seat? You didn't hire a stand-in did

you?;) Very descent landing. Was that an autoland or did you cut the A/P and hand fly the last bit?

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Nice Landing... Seemed alittle high on the approach but well with in tolerances of the approach plate.

I did get a hair above the glide slope near the end but corrected...you could hear me say that I'm a little high and the instructor say, "Correcting" ;) Thanks!

Yes sir...it's moi in the left seat. The entire approach was hand flown....only auto throttle used. The only time the AP was engaged was after reaching 2,000 ft. upon takeoff from MEM.

I'm not aware that the 'tolerances' of the ILS GS are depicted on IAL charts.
