File Edits:

1. YES, you can change text colors of the SHIFT-Z, Parking, Slew and Window texts in P3D v4. In my searching the internet for any information on this, I didn't come up with anything helpful. I did my own experimentation based on what could be done in FSX. Anything anyone else can add to this, please do.

2. Make backups of any original file before editing so that you can revert to them if something goes wrong. I know... I have done it.

3. Within the Prepar3D.cfg file, usually in the "username"/AppData/Roaming/Lockheed Martin/Prepar3D v4" folder, edit the text using these examples.

4. I hope this is helpful to someone.

Example: Latitude=n1,n2

n1 = the line position and

n2 = the order of appearance of the parameter on that line

In addition, Shift-Z can display several lines for these parameters on the screen

Parameters (that I know of) that can be added:

Latitude, WindDirectionAndSpeed, AverageFrameRate, FuelRemainingPounds, LatitudeDec, WindSpeed, TrueAirspeed, FuelRemainingGallons, LatitudeHex, WindDirection, VideoDevice, Heading, Longitude, FrameRate, Airspeed, HeadingHex, LongitudeDec, LockedFrameRate, AngleOfAttack, AltitudeAgl, LongitudeHex, GForce, HeadingTrue, Altitude, FuelPercentage, VerticalSpeed

Color Charts:

Various websites give you visual examples from a color-wheel to see what the color code is by selection. Also, if you want the codes and colors in a chart, you can Google it.

Example 1:

In this example I coded all text as yellow with a 25% shadow for clarity for reading the text in various flying background lighting.

You are welcome. I am glad this is helpful to some. Many have given so much to me over the years (to this hobby), this is just a small way of giving back.
