dialtech
Well it's been another month and 6 - 8 more emails to MegaSceneryEarth to see if they fixed the last of the LARGE BLACK RECTANGLES in Pennsylvania version 3. There has been NO response to any of my recent emails. I have sent several photos of PA v3 defects 2 of the 3 were corrected but I am still waiting for this last one to be fixed before I buy anything else from MegaSceneryEarth. Clutch Cargo
Well it sounds like you got 2 of the three corrected? That's not bad. I remember there was a big issue with water around Lake Tahoe with v2 and actually got a reply on the forums but never a fix. From what I have read MSE is not the best when it comes to customer support but then again providing updates could prove to be a huge undertaking just due to the shear size when it comes to photoreal. Maybe that's why they went with the route of providing v1, v2, v3 versions at a 50% discount to previous owners rather than updates. Of course that doesn't help much as you have the latest version. In any case, I moved on for MSE several years back and started designing my own. Much happier with my results.
dialtech
They fixed the other two large black rectangles within a month of me informing them. I don't understand how they missed the third one and REFUSE to fix it. All the large black rectangles were in the same area of Stroudsburg PA. This is DUMB CUSTOMER SERVICE. Over 20 emails have been ignored. I don't understand why MegaSceneryEarth would want to destroy their company. Since they continue to sell a known defective product, it is now in the hands of the attorney general.

Isn't this a very time consuming project? I'm curious, do have a sample?

Likewise, I too moved away from Megascenery long ago after seeing the really bad color quality, unmatched imagery, terrible water blends and so on. Doing a whole state is obviously very much time consuming. what I do instead is do a photoreal area around the airport, say 40 miles, the rest is either Orbx or default. I have for example created a custom photo blend of the SF Bay area, from North Marin Co. to Big Sur. I just hugs the coast, say 15 miles inland, but it does make for a very "real" flying experience, specially when flying GA. There are some very good tutorials around, once you get the hang of it you could have an area the size of San Diego done in one afternoon, and I guarantee you will like it better than MegaScenery. Here is a pic of the coastal Orbx blend, just south of Half Moon Bay. ANNBER https://www.facebook.com/Photosim-Labs-133663917277630/
