hangar32 Posted April 24, 2017 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Was this human ATC or P3D? At least you were going in the same direction so closure speed wasn't a factor. With FSX running UTII and flying the High Altitude airways, I always seem to be co-altitude with a fast mover coming from the opposite direction…with maybe 700-800 kts GS speed of closure. :eek: Because of the high closure speed, FSX ATC won't catch it in time. The only saving grace is that you can pick up contrails pretty far out. Unfortunately theres just "Traffic in sight" and "Traffic not in sight" calls…I'd like a "Thanks for the heads up but he just took off my leftwing." call added. :pilot: R/ Hangar 32 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It would have been OK as long as he was going parallel with me, but he cut right across my nose about 100 yards in front! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! Had he hit you, or you him and you hadn't been able to suck it up, you could just as easily have started over again with nothing lost... The wonders of the sim world.
