I bought the JSG panel from Flight Sim Store for 787-9 to use with my already installed TDS Jetstar 787-8, I follow the instructions in PDF provided to the letter during installation. Now my aircraft Jetstar 787-8 is not even in my aircraft list. When I revert back to my old panel my TDS Jetstar reappeared. So what am I doing wrong.

Yes mrzippy I did I change the panel in the aircraft.cfg to panel=JSG7879X06 and after that my TDS Jetstar 787-8 disappear from my aircraft selection under free flight

Just making sure....the panel folder is named JSG7879XZERO6 not (OH)6

UPDATE: it pays to read the reviews of the product before you buy! I copied this from the JSG site!

mrzippy yes the panel is named JSG7879XZERO6. I am going to put this blunt. JSG Panels, it is as if they milking he sim community for money and is not up to it to provide help. 19AUD is not much money for USA or Australia but for me in South Africa it is over R200 so for me its n lot of money. So I hope simmers would buy their products.

Thanks for "Sterkte" looks like you know a bit of Afrikaans

il88pp here is copy of the installation PDF that I follow to the letter

copy the folder panel.JSG7879X06 in your own 787.

This version is made for WINDOWS 7 so the panel is installed in the folder:

C:/Program Files x86/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X …….

You then have to edit the aircraft.cfg to adapt to the panel: replace the existing

lines panel=.... by the line panel=JSG7879X06, using a text editor, for exemple

NOTEPAD.

The panel name is panel.JSG7879X06 in my TDS Jetstar aircraft directory

Show a screenshot of the inside of that panel folder. (so we can see the filenames)

+1 and also show your [fltsim.xx] panel=(with the panel name) make sure no spaces between= and J

Nice to know what's inside that panel folder. I suspect gauges, .cab, panel.cfg and maybe some panel.bmp.

The panel folder in the aircraft folder look like this?? No wording changes?

In your aircraft.CFG remove the text : title=Plane7 FREEWARE_COPYRIGHT_TenkuuDevelopersStudio_01JUN2013 OPTANT1110000000_OPTDEC11110 TDS 787-8 Jetstar

You have "title=Plane0 and title=Plane7" one title is fine.

BTW i have this panel to,but i don't use it, the panel from G Munro is way better.

Jan I removed the title=plane7, still may Jetstar 787 do not show up

mrzippy I count the characters in the title and it add up to 112

So far, everything looks normal. One last request...post the panel.cfg

When doing a Google search for JSG 787 panel I get this message. I don't understand why it says for FSX Steam only??

Oct 2, 2015 - BOEING 787-9 PANEL, VERSION S06S, FOR USE ONLY WITH STEAM Due to Windows and STEAM size, you need at least 4 GB RAM of

mrzippy i am running Win7 64 bit and FSX, no FSX-SE

Sorry, I'm about 100% out of ideas! The last think I would try would be to name the panel folder panel.test and then panel=test in the aircraft.cfg.

That would eliminate the folder name from causing the issue. Other than that, check with who you gave your money to.

the gauges in the panel.cfg file all have an error.

in file:

gauge01=glx787-MPanel!glx806-CAMainUp,0,0			JSGPanels

should be:

gauge01=glx787-MPanel!glx806-CAMainUp,0,0			//JSGPanels

// makes JSGPanels a comment.

If no // it would get executed.

---

That does not explain yet why the aircraft is not showing.

according to the screenshot the panel folder name ends with S

in the aircraft.cfg that S at the end is missing.

that's why your plane won't show.

Add the S in panel= line in the aircraft.cfg file

(what mrzippy suggested works too)

Good find! Now why is it in the README file without an S? And why did

johankotze add an S to his folder name??????? Probably the developer who screwed up the folder name.

Thanks mrzippy and il88p the panel is now working and aircraft is showing. Must say I am not impressed. The heading, speed do not react when when I turn the knobs, I use FSUIPC.

I select the JSG panel and testing.

For the speed,select speed and push right of the numbers on XFR and you have two the same speed numbers,and then push the speed knob.

For the heading the same procedure.

Hope this help,i am going back to the Munro panel.;)
