A "streamline" button...

I've been flying PC simulators since the mid-1980s. I enjoyed it so much I decided to make a career out of flying the real things, namely, B-52s and C-130s in the Air Force. I retired from that career in 2009.

I really like the concept of X-Plane, but it's always stayed three steps ahead of what my graphics card would handle. X-Plane 9 works on my 8GB i5, but it's a kludge. 10 didn't even bother to load. It refused.

Have you ever thought about including a single, simple Streamline button that would set a variety of environmental variables from scenery density to weather, winds, and graphics such that those of us who are more interested in flying than eye-candy would actually be able to use the simulator instead of being given the stiff-arm at start-up?

Thanks.

Contrary to popular misconception, perception is not reality. Just ask the guy who flew into the side of the mountain. Perception is merely an abstraction of reality, and quite often, not a very good one, at that.
