A look out over the Swiss Alps about 25 miles from the Zermatt Resort area and the Matterhorn. We see Lake Maggiore about 35 miles distant. It is the second largest lake in Italy. We begin our initial descent near the town of Sarnen on the shores of Lake Sarnen. Now over the city of Lucerne we see Lake Lucerne in the distance. We are level at 5,000 feet about 17 miles from Zurich. Turning toward the airport. We have been assigned runway 16. About six miles out we begin to line up our visual approach. Lined up and scrubbing of some speed before reaching the threshold. Touchdown. Turning off the runway and taxiing to parking. Systems shut down and passengers disembarked. Thanks for flying BEA.
