The aircraft Speed during descent with Engines idle increases up to 600 kts. … even with a moderate rate of descend (1000ft/min). All over all it seems that the airplane is totally overpowered. Have you any idea how to fix to those parameters. [TurbineEngineData] fuel_flow_gain= 0.002 inlet_area= 101.714 rated_N2_rpm= 29920.000 static_thrust= 84761.900 afterburner_available= 0 reverser_available= 1.000 It should not be 84761 lbs of static thrust & should be between 18900 lbs & 23300 lbs depending on which engine is being used. The empty weight is almost a B747 The wing_span is the same as a B747 And more things. :p The aircraft.cfg must more look like a A319. In addition changing the Inlet Area setting will decrease the max speed. The HIGHER the number, the LOWER the top speed. Best way to test is 50% fuel, no other weight onboard, cruise altitude (usually around 36,000' MSL, 100% throttle. Set that up, save the flight, make a change in the Inlet Area, reload the flight, and test. Make certain the Static Thrust setting is correct, first, however. Making sure all the rest of the pointed out errors are fixed too. Won't even get into .air file settings for jet engines... Secondly I what to thank all of you because now - after taken nearly all of your advices – the descend is no problem anymore. However the final approach has become a new challenge. With 150 kts and full flaps the aircraft is not able to follow the Glideslope anymore. It remains below the GS and the nose is rising steep and steeper unless the Aircraft crashes before Threshold. Usually the flaps setting are determined by the aircraft gross weight when the the approach begins. There is normally a chart in the POH, or SOP's for the company, to tell you what flaps settings to use for the gross weight. Do some research, and find out whet flap settings to use, don't just throw full flaps out there and hope for the best. I'd be willing to bet that that's where-in lieth the rub.
