"RAF" Percival Pembroke from Wisley to East-Kirkby (FSX)

Recommended Posts

The Pembroke was a twin-engined British built light transport aircraft made by the Percival Aircraft Company (later Hunting-Percival). A virtual flight from ex WW2 RAF Wisley airfield to another ex WW2 field named East-Kirkby.

Wisley was a "secret" airfield in WW2, the original buildings were disguised as farms:

Her's a recent aerial pic of Wisley: 1 marks the place where the hangers were situated in pics 5 and 6.

2 marks the place of the ww2 buidings in the first pics. The concrete runway was made end 50's.

There are serious plans to develop the former air base.

My goodness Jan I live about 10 minutes from East Kirkby (the home of Just Jan Lancaster which is currently being restored).

I wondered what all that noise was about this morning, you woke up all my dogs flying that low!! :D Where did you get the scenery for East kirkby? It's stunning.

Cool Link!! Love those street cars!

I worked for a major interstate railroad in the US back in the '70s & 80's. We'd do a lot of volunteer work for the local railroad museum here. Our 250 US ton cranes were handy for picking up a locomotive to re-truck it, etc.

We also gave them a lot of out of date parts and equipment. Since what we gave them was out of date, that meant it worked fine with their museum's dateline.
