Default Finnish Dh-89 "Karhumaki" from Oulu to Kokkola (FSX)

"Lappi" , an ex-Finnish Army trainer in the 1941 "Karhumaki" livery over the North-East part of Finland on a summer's day. I use the freeware "Finland "X" scenery" (landclass, mesh and scenery).

Freeware Dh-89 FS9 V2 version by Dave Garwood and Team
Freeware Finland "X" landclass, mesh and scenery (in winter landable frozen lakes) by FISD (Finnish Scenery Designers)
Freeware FSX OULO Airport (also by FISD)

But...but...WHERE'S the WATER landing Sir Peerhoven is so famous for??
And where's the BEER??? In the cargo hold?

Something I always wondered: Can the engines develop enough thrust, with the brakes on, to make the tail lift off the ground before take-off? I may try it with the DC-3's I have. Be fun to try to balance on the mains before you start to roll...
When I was flying gliders a long time ago, a fun thing to do, if the wind was right, was to have the line-boy (often ME, till I got my license) lift the wing up, then let go, and balance on the wheel with the ailerons. Good practice for flying, actually, and gave the line-boy a break.

Great pictures, by the way, thanks for the post!
    Pat☺

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

WOW!! I never thought I'd see a plane make a blimp look skinny!

No worry someone would shoot at that thing. They'd be too busy pointing and laughing to even think of shooting!

    Nice pictures Jan.

Pat, don't worry. Our esteemed intrepid airman is currently taking an elementary refresher course at the Academy.

Very nice pictures and beautiful repaint.

I am in love with this aircraft - is this texture available somewhere?

Congratulations - and thanks - Gérard

I like that Finnish paint on the Dragon Rapide Jan. You got some fine shots of it too!
