Stuttgart To Innsbruck via Deutsche Lufthansa IL-14P

FS2004 - I was captivated by the recent screenshots and discussions of the 1950s Russian designed Ilyushin IL-14 so I downloaded it (il14_10.zip) and have enjoyed flying this old classic style airliner with 14-cylinder radial engines that looks like a DC-3 with a nose wheel. Here is my first point-to-point flight, from Stuttgart, Germany to Innsbruck, Austria over some nice mountain scenery (with FSGenesis 19m terrain mesh). This is the IL-14P (P means passenger version) in the old East German Deutsche Lufthansa livery. I hope you enjoy the flight.

Enjoyed tour flight, Clayton, nice captures, super scenery and great plane!

Thank you Klee, this plane is growing on me. It definitely has its quirks and oddities! It took some practice but my landings are getting much better. Mr. Kristensen certainly left us a fine gift with this one.

BTW, I just left you a post in the IL-14 thread that I think you'll like.

+1 One hell of an approach to runway 26 after flying over the mountains! I just did it with my Pan AM B377!

Hey, want a challenge? Try that approach at night under IFR weather conditions! :o

I usually sim there from Munich because I rode that route RW on commercial planes, a couple of times during the year or so I lived within five miles of the Munich airport.

Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
