Floydturbo
Hello All, I just installed FSX non Steam version. I am trying to add call outs and FMC to my panel.cfg in the 737-800 file. When I go to save it it kicks me out and says I don't have administrative rights??? It saves it somewhere else, wherever I choose, as a text file. I have successfully done all of this in my FSX Steam version so I don't get what's different. Any ideas or guidance would be much appreciated. mrzippy
If you have installed this version of FSX in the default location then you will have a problem with UAC protecting against changes. Have you tried copying the panel.cfg to your desktop, make and save the changes then paste back into FSX? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! n4gix
Alternatively, from Windows Explorer, right-click on the root ..\FSX folder and change the permissions to allow both Read and Write privileges...
