Redshift8 Posted October 16, 2015 Share Posted October 16, 2015 The 8th Virtual Fighter Wing is a newer group in Falcon. We simulate the F-16 operations based at Kunsan, South Korea. In house we built a custom theater for the Korean Peninsula and it is a joy to fly every day. Here's a few shots of a recent range flight by a couple pilots at the wing. The range work wasn't captured due to the fast paced comms environment Nuts and I went out on a range sortie. We did some LOWAT flying, tactical formation, and range work at Pil Sung. I of course forgot to take pics of the range work mostly because it's a busy communication and maneuvering environment. We alternated our targets N, E, W, S as the smoke cleared off previous impacts. Was a lot of fun and I think we got all drops on target (approx 12 hits total) and refueled from Camel1. All SOPs were followed throughout the flight. We had some fun during our RTB with Nuts and I flying inverted for a little seeing how long we could maintain 26,000. Was a good time and we knocked out some currency items for ARMS.
